The DLR Geoservices web-server contains PM2.5 concentration at surface level as a combined product derived from Aqua/MODIS and Sentinel-3a/SLSTR satellite AOD data (for Germany):

The data product is an outcome of the S-VELD project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure in the framework of the mFUND-Programme (FKZ: 19F2065A).


The data product contains monthly averaged surface PM2.5 concentration data covering Germany and parts of the surrounding countries.
The monthly products are stored in zip-files in the sub-directory: 'monthly/'
The file name has the folllowing structure: MODIS_SLSTR_PM25SURF_MONTH_YYYYMM.zip

Quick look images are included in the zip-file for download.

To download multiple data-files from the DLR Geoservices web-server, you can use download software such as "wget" and "curl".
For example, you can use the following "wget" command to download all monthly products for one year:
"wget -r -nH --cut-dirs=4 https://download.geoservice.dlr.de/SVELD/files/monthly/YYYY/"
