Operations Summary

The information provided here presents an overview of SCIAMACHY operations on a monthly timescale. Operations are classified according to

  • nominal
    		•  SCIAMACHY operations in MEASUREMENT TIMELINE mode as planned
  • nndec
    		•  SCIAMACHY operated in MEASUREMENT TIMELINE mode but instrument executed a non-nominal decontamination, i.e. data can be of reduced quality
  • anomaly/SCIA
    		•  no measurement - SCIAMACHY experienced an anomaly which interrupted the measurement plan
  • anomaly/ENV
    		•  no measurement - ENVISAT experienced an anomaly with impact on SCIAMACHY, i.e. an interrupt of the measurement plan
  • no measurement/planned
    		•  no measurement - SCIAMACHY was transferred to a mode below MEASUREMENT/TIMELINE in accordance with operations planning. No measurement data were generated.

    The graphical displays of the monthly operations summary are organized on a yearly basis. They start in January 2003 when SOST became responsible for routine operations. Horizontal axis lists the month, vertically the fractions of the operations classes described above are given for each month.
